ASHLEY AISYAH HAMEL

Ashley Aisyah is an American singer-songwriter, actor, and teaching artist. She began acting at age 11 and performed in over 20 professional and community theatrical productions before moving to Jakarta in 2021.

 

Indonesian theater credits include: Mamma Mia! The Musical as Donna Sheridan (Jakarta Art House), (Dis)connected (Jakarta Players), Dreamstruck (JPAC), and Thearapy: The Sequel (Censtacom). In addition to scripted theater, she has performed in over 100 improv comedy shows at the Sea Tea Comedy Theater in Hartford, CT. Ashley also dabbles in voice acting (Corgiville, Call Me Mother), short film work (A Sunflower’s Lie, John and Clara), and English and arts education.

 

As a singer-songwriter, Ashley has released one album, one EP, and five singles in advance of her new album. Ashley also hosts and organizes the songwriter’s open mic Jakarta Original Soundtrack and frequently tours the northeastern US.
