FRIDA NATHANIA OBADJA

Piano Teacher

Frida began learning piano at age 6 at Maria Ibrahim Music School in Bandung under Ms. Maria’s guidance. She continued her lessons there and, in 2003, started her teaching career at the same school while studying Accounting at Christian Maranatha University. In 2009, she earned her ABRSM Piano Performance Diploma.

In 2011, Frida was admitted to Berklee College of Music, majoring in Contemporary Writing and Production. She received the Berklee Achievement Scholarship and Financial Grant and was consistently listed on the Dean’s List. Graduating summa cum laude in 2013, she further expanded her expertise in music education and production.

​Since 2003, Frida has been teaching piano, music theory, ear training, and more. She founded Freedz Music Studio for virtual lessons and collaborated with music programs and schools, including Lalita Music School. Beyond teaching, she is active in studio recording, musical workshops, and orchestral performances with artists like Aminoto Kosin and Dian HP Orchestra. Her arrangement work spans rhythm sections, orchestras, brass, and vocals for various events.

A devoted Christian, Frida has served in her church, Gereja Utusan Pantekosta Jemaat Bandung, as a choir accompanist, music director, and youth coach, focusing on developing musicians for ministry.
