EDWARD YUNKIAN JANITRA

Mr. Edo began his piano studies under the guidance of Ms. Yenny Putih, before continuing his training with Ms. Angelica Liviana. He completed ABRSM Grade 8 Piano and ABRSM Grade 5 Music Theory with Distinction prior to graduating from high school.

Throughout his musical education, he actively participated in competitions and performances. His achievements include First Prize at the Indonesia Piano Competition Jakarta (2014), Second Prize at the Gracia Open Music Festival (2014), and participation in the ABRSM Highest Score Concert for Piano (2012).

In addition to his piano background, Mr. Edo was a member of the UNPAR Choir, performing and competing under the direction of Ivan Yohan and Ega O. Azarya. During this time, he gained extensive experience as a choral accompanist and expanded his musical perspective. He also studied choral conducting, conducted UNPAR Choir concerts Exaltation (2019) and Nova Aruna (2020), and composed Sonnet XVI, which premiered in 2019.

 

Mr. Edo is currently an active member of The Archipelago Singers, performing and competing regularly. He is passionate about music education and finds great fulfillment in sharing his knowledge with students, while continuing to grow as an educator.
